Friends of the Council on Aging
Our Friends group meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the Community Room at River Pines Housing. Our Friends provide much-needed funding for programs and events not covered in the COA’s annual town budget. Support has included: Speakers, performers, yoga classes, exercise supplies, summer BBQs, kitchen supplies, refreshments for events like Volunteer Appreciation Day, Older Americans Day, summer BBQs, Game Day, Market Basket gift certificates, MVRTA Ring & Ride tickets and more. The Friends sponsor fundraisers such as the annual Plant Sale and High Tea.
