Conservation Commission Minutes 03/12/2008

Meeting opened 7:15 pm.
ConCom Business - Monday Night Signoffs - Commissioners discussed the option of conducting sign-offs at Town Hall or Veasey Park. Tabled for future discussion
166 Main Street – GRDA
Present: J. McComiskie
Hearing opened 7:38 pm. The project involves a two-floor building, ie, post office and bank with a drive-up window with an office on the second floor, and parking spaces. Project is between the 50’ and 75’ no build zone. Commissioners requested he research and use a porous or permeable surface that didn’t have run off. A site visit will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 9:00 am. Hearing continued to April 9, 2008 as a GNOI. Hearing closed at 8:03 pm.
S. Sexton arrived 7:40 pm.
ConCom Business – 196 King Street
L. Felch will contact R. Ahern and N. DeCoulos to notify them that this hearing will be continued to the April 9, 2008 meeting for a final hearing. She will also call W. Sorenson and request he attend the hearing as well.
ConCom Business – Fee Schedule
Commissioners discussed fees and the local town’s fees comparison and agreed to leave the fee schedule as it currently is.
ConCom Business – Denying Local Bylaw Permits
M. Dempsey will send a letter to the Selectmen and Town Counsel requesting a written opinion regarding denying local bylaw permits on their recommendation.
