* Citizens interested in filling the current vacancy on this elected board will be appointed by the Board of Selectmen until the next Annual Town Election. Appointees will need to then take out papers to run for election for the remaining one year term expiring in 2013.
**Citizens interested in filling the current vacancy on one of these two elected boards will be appointed by the Board of Selectmen until the next Annual Town Election. Appointees will then need to take out papers to run for the three and five year terms expiring in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
Boards/Committee vacancies (appointed by Board of Selectmen)
The following is a list of current vacancies on town boards/committees:
(1) Board of Fire Engineers - one vacancy (annual appt) (filled)
(2) Finance Board - two vacancies (three year term)
(3) Board of Registrars - one vacancy (annual appointment)
(4) Conservation Commission - one vacancy (three year term)
(5) Pines Development/Recreation Committee - one vacancy
(filled) (annual appt)
(6) Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) The ZBA consists of five
(5) regular members and three (3) alternate members. Currently,
the ZBA needs 3 citizens to serve as alternate members.
Alternate members learn as they sit in on hearings but do not vote
on decisions unless a regular member is absent and the alternate
needs to fill in.
Regular hearings are held on the first Wednesday of each month
provided applications have been received by the Town Clerk's
Office. The meetings are in the evening beginning at 7:30 P.M.
The Zoning Board of Appeals is also responsible for hearing
Chapter 40B affordable housing applications. These hearings are
conducted following a developer filing with the town. Generally
these hearings are scheduled for a separate evening from the
ZBA's regular monthly hearing date.

(8) Capital Improvement Committee - one vacancy (three year term)
(9) Affordable Housing Committee - one vacancy (annual
appointment)
