About the Recreation Committee

Groveland Recreation Committee's purpose is to design, promote and support programs and services to fill the recreational needs of the community. The Committee sponsors spring softball open to girls in kindergarten through grade nine; summer softball, winter elementary basketball open to boys and girls in grades one through six. In addition, the Recreation Committee sponsors Groveland Day, and co-sponsors other Town-wide activities.

In addition, the Recreation Committee contributed money to purchase adjustable basketball nets for the Bagnall School and to purchase a scoreboard, as well as contributed toward the purchase of picnic tables and grills for the new Johnson’s Pond picnic area.. The Committee works closely with other recreational groups such as Groveland Little League, Groveland Soccer, etc.
